Lemon Myrtle Oil is a pure and natural essential oil extracted through steam distillation from the leaves of the Backhousia Citriodora tree, native to Australia. It exudes a gentle yet invigorating lemon fragrance, often described as a classic citrus scent. The aromatic profile of this oil is notably more robust than that of Lemon Essential Oil, boasting a rich lemony aroma. With its pale-yellow hue and thin consistency typical of lemon-based essential oils, Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil offers a myriad of cosmetic benefits, making it a valuable addition to any essential oil collection. Renowned for its antioxidant properties, Lemon Myrtle Oil is versatile in various applications. Its high citral content contributes to its skin-nourishing qualities, aiding in maintaining skin cleanliness and sebum balance to reduce breakouts and acne. Additionally, it can help minimize the appearance of large pores, making it suitable for oily and combination skin types. When using this essential oil topically, it is advisable to dilute it for safe application. Beyond its cosmetic benefits, Lemon Myrtle Oil serves as a potent germicide and antibacterial agent, surpassing the effectiveness of Tea Tree Oil. Widely favored in aromatherapy for its fruity yet calming scent, this oil can be blended with other essential oils to create massage blends or used in diffusers and sprays to freshen the environment and combat odours. Its cleansing properties, attributed to its citral content, make it a valuable addition to household cleaning products. For a quick disinfectant spray, blend a few drops of Lemon Myrtle Oil with vinegar and tea tree oil. This versatile oil blends well with Sandalwood, Tea Tree, Cyprus, Eucalyptus, and Niaouli essential oils. Lemon Myrtle Oil finds applications in lotions, moisturizers, facial cleansers, household cleaners, perfumes, and detergents. While non-toxic, it may cause skin irritation in some individuals and should not be ingested. Store away from children and direct sunlight. nAs a beloved Native Australian Essential Oil, Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil is cherished for its refreshing lemon-like aroma and numerous benefits. It is a popular choice for aromatherapy, cleaning, and more. Traditionally used to alleviate chest congestion, its potent antibacterial and antifungal properties make it an effective cleaning agent, even outperforming Tea Tree Oil. In aromatherapy, the uplifting essence of Lemon Myrtle Oil acts as a natural antidepressant, promoting mental clarity and focus. Topically, its antimicrobial, antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory properties can help alleviate muscle pain and inflammation. Its sweet, warm, and refreshing aroma also makes it a sought-after ingredient in high-end perfumery.
